Things I’m Thankful for in 2023

With Thanksgiving Day tomorrow, I thought it would be appropriate to make a list of things I’m thankful for in 2023. I love how this holiday causes many of us to stop and thank God for all the blessings He has so freely given to us! May we live in this state of gratitude throughout the rest of this year and into the next!

My Heavenly Father

The top of my list will always include my heavenly Father and my relationship with Him. I truly couldn’t go through life without Him and His guidance in my life!

Family

My family will always make this list too. I adore my husband and three kids! They are my world and the reason I do many of the things I do on a daily basis. I’m also grateful for my extended family, my side of the family and my in-laws. I’m truly blessed to have them all in my life!

Home

I’m grateful for the home we have been blessed to live in. I didn’t imagine we would buy this home one day when we started renting here, but I know it’s where God wants us to be. It’s so fun to dream of what this place can become!

My Clients and Business

Yes, you all for sure make my list! I thank God often for this business and the opportunity to serve mamas and families like you throughout the year. I don’t take this opportunity for granted and am always asking God to give me His creativity and ideas for how to serve you to the best of my abilities. Being a Lancaster Family Photographer is such a privilege!

Nourishing Food

I love good food and being able to provide quality food for my family means the world to me. This many sound silly to some, but I’m truly thankful for it! It may be cooking up a homemade supper, baking sourdough bread or helping my kids gather eggs from our chickens. Thank you, God, for all of it!

Claw Clips

It’s time for a frivolous item on this list. 😉 If you see me out and about during the week running errands or taking my daughter to ballet, then you will know these make the list. They make me put together and keep my hair out of my way while I go about accomplishing things. This is my favorite set.

The Library

Another extra gratitude item to make the list is the library. This has saved me thousands of dollars and taken our imaginations to places far away this year. Personally I have read more books this year than I have in many of the years of motherhood before. Reading a book has been a great way unwind and give my eyes/brain a break from endlessly scrolling Instagram.

There are many, many more things or people I could add to this list of things I’m thankful for in 2023, but I’m going to stop here. If you want to read my list from a few years ago, head to the post titled Grateful.
