Flower Field Maternity Session

I was completely honored when Ruth asked me to photographer her family again for this flower field maternity session. I had first photographed them a few years ago and am always thrilled to have returning clients! You have no idea what that does for my heart and confidence! Ruth and her family are one of those families you always want to photograph again! They are so easy going and dear to the heart!

Ruth chose Wildflower Lookout as the location for her session. I had never shot there before and couldn’t wait to explore it. She also wanted to use smoke bombs to reveal to her girls at the session the gender of the baby she is carrying. All I could say is… Yes, please! The possibilities with this shoot were endless!

The words from Ruth after her session though were just what I needed to hear! My heart is to truly make every momma feel beautiful. After hearing from her, I knew I had done my job well!

“Angie, I am blown away by what you captured. Thank you, thank you, thank you from the bottom of my heart. These will be treasured for the rest of my life. I know it sounds so vain that I don’t love my pregnancy body and I’ve learned it’s not really about that. I get to carry the image of God inside of me and that alone is AMAZING and so worth it. My body will come back eventually. But with these you have actually made me feel beautiful pregnant. I love ALL of them.”

I’m always on the hunt for pretty dresses for my clients. As I searched around, I decided to share five dress for your fall session. My theory is that you first find a dress for yourself as a momma. Then base the rest of the family’s wardrobe choices around your dress/outfit. Don’t do this the […]

We all have expectations coming into a photo session. But here are three things I wish my clients knew that might dispel some the more unreasonable expectations. You Don’t Have to Look Perfect You may think that every hair needs to be in place, every outfit perfectly on point and each child without a single […]

The fall season is fast approaching and that means lots of family sessions around here! I thought it could be helpful to write a Fall Family Session FAQ about when to book, what to expect and how to begin planning now for the best session ever! How soon should I book my session for this […]

This Lititz Family Styled Session took place on a historic farm that three generations currently live and farm on. There is a history of revival that broke out in a barn on this property. I love stories like this where revival breaks out in ordinary places, where God shows up and things change! One of […]

This was my third summer to host Flower Garden Mini Sessions at Flourish Flowers. It was a wonderful success! I chose this time of year for the event because the flower gardens are at their peak. If I plan them earlier in June, there wouldn’t be enough flowers blooming. Waiting until later in July would […]

I love to shoot in new places for family sessions! When the Brubaker family asked me to shoot their session in their backyard in Mount Gretna, I hopped on the opportunity! They live way back in the woods on a secluded property. Their home is a dear cabin set in the woods. They are surrounded […]

It all started one evening as I was headed out for a walk. I walked past the large lilac bush in my backyard with the sun shining off to the side. I thought “Hmmm…this Lilac bush would make a good spot for some client mini session. Maybe I should post this to Instagram stories and […]

Preparing for your session can be a challenge, especially with small children. I know as a momma how challenging it can be to get outfits planned, everyone cleaned up, rested and out the door for a session. That’s why I want to give you some of my best tried and true tips for a successful […]
