There are those moms you meet and you instantly admire them for the calm spirit they possess while mothering a handful of kids. They inspire you to be more relaxed and graceful in your own mothering. Beckie is one of those kinds of moms. Her parents are my next door neighbors and so I’ve had the opportunity to know Beckie for a few years. She is always calm, relaxed and graceful in the way she approaches life. These qualities make her beautiful on the inside as well as on the outside. I admire this in her since I am usually a little more uptight than I would like to be.
When I was in the search of a maternity model to update my maternity portfolio, Beckie instantly came to mind. She is beautiful and has a good-looking family filled with fun, adorable kids. I worked with her to help figure out wardrobe and location for her session. I was tickled to find some new spots to shoot in a location I have used many times in the past. (I love it when that happens and you can make new magic happen in repeat locations!)
The dress she is wearing will be a part of the wardrobe I offer to maternity clients to borrow for their own session. I’m slowly working on building that wardrobe up and hope to offer it in the near future with several dresses in different sizes. I cannot wait until this wardrobe is ready for clients!!
When doing a maternity session, I try to get as many combinations as possible for the momma. This includes ones of the family (if she already has one), ones of the couple and ones of the momma by herself. I also can squeeze in a quick update shot of each child if needed. So keep this in mind when scheduling your next maternity session.
