Longwood Gardens Maternity Session | Kennett Square, PA

Longwood Gardens is such a dreamy location for a maternity session. Abigail was on board right away when I suggested it to her for her session. She actually told me later that it was the first place that came to mind when she was thinking of locations. Great minds think alike! I was thrilled because I’ve been wanting to shoot a there for years!

The Gardens

There are many different types of gardens at Longwood, and we only scratched the surface of places to shoot in. I made sure we used the Fountain Garden because that was part of my initial vision for the session. I also took images in Rose Garden, Topiary Garden and Conservatory.

Wardrobe

Abigail also did a beautiful job of picking out their wardrobe. She chose a dress from Nothing Fits But and it looked so beautiful in the gardens! I cannot recommend the dresses from this company enough! They are such good quality and made with natural fibers. Abigail’s husband, Harrison, wore nice jeans and a simple button down shirt for the maternity session.

I have to give a shout out to both Abigail and Harrison for being such sports for this Longwood Gardens maternity session because it ended up being one of the hottest days of the summer on the day we shot this session. They didn’t complain and just rolled with everything I suggested! I cannot wait for their next session when their sweet baby arrives!
